You have no doubt heard about our huge fish caught
yesterday. Now comes the important part. Last evening celebrity chef Jamie
disappeared to the galley to prepare the said catch ( or a small part of it
) The menu was as follows Pan fried Mahi Mahi in a lemon and caper
butter sauce with Gratin Dauphinois potatoes and haricot
princesse beans. Each bite of succulent moist white fish was
helped on it's way with generous amounts of Faustino V 2007
I am so glad that at last we have caught something,
as I was fast running out of excuses, like' the water is too deep or the
sun is too bright, there was no moon last night. Gladly all that is history and
we have the freezer full of our monster of the deep. such is
our relentless progress west that today we have changed ships time by one
hour. I know I
promised to lose weight on this trip Marie, but I aim sure to fail miserably,
the ancient mariner (Mike) cooked us all a big Saturday morning fry-up ,sausage
bacon tomatoes black pud etc. the full works ! absolutely
delicious.. As we move west and slightly south it is getting
warmer each day,the sea temp is now 23.7 it was 18 when we left Gran Canaria.
Ollie is still doing great things on the battle of the high seas. now
3-0 up. He reckons that we are out of range of Gulliver's guns.
Everyone here is in good spirits, we have good breeze today and are cracking
along in the 7 knots range. For those interested , we caught our fish with
a rubber tassel like squid about 100mm bright green towed about 10 mtr
behind and just below the surface.
Fair winds to you all
