The EJ's Voyage

We are still in Marsden Cove Marina... The weather is just not good enough to justify being at anchor in some bays being concerned about the high winds and their change of direction. It is not cold but there are lots of clouds around, no rain though but feel very humid. When the sun comes out, it is really hot.
We are not idle though. A lot of jobs are being done on board. At the moment there is sanding and varnishing going on.
We have also done some road trips to Tutukaka, Opua, Whaitangi, Paihia...
Unfortunately, the forecast is still not brilliant for next week and if so we will go by car to the North tip of the island, Cape Reinga and the 90km beach, take our tent and stay overnight somewhere. We also want to visit the Waipoua Kauri forest and look at the last giant Kauri trees remaining on the West coast.
New friends, Karen and Paul from "GiGi", Australians, are moored next to us in the marina and we have had some good times together.
So we are both well and not bored but can't wait for the weather to improve so we can finally go sailing and have fun on the water!
