Moorea! What a beautiful island. This IS like you imagine Polynesia to be…. Wild, high peaks, quiet, amazing shallow turquoise water, white sandy beaches, palm trees. They have it all! The perfect dream.

Except that today started with rain showers and cloudy skies but…. the sun soon returned.

Our nice French neighbour from Marina Taina, Jean, decided to accompany us from Tahiti to Moorea so he could show us the beauty spots of the island. That was so nice of him because we probably wouldn’t have found them on our own. Photos attached. No need to comment, don’t you think?  He took his own boat and he went back to Tahiti this morning at the crack of dawn. We had a good time with him.

Audrey and I saw a turtle yesterday gently swimming by the boat. There are giant raies and loads of fish as well.

Mike and Didier took off on the dinghy this morning to the next bay to buy our daily baguettes. Mike returned with a beautiful bouquet of exotic flowers.

We are investigating the possibility of renting a car to tour the island.

We are all well and life is good. Missing family and friends though.
