Oops!

I sent this blog update last Friday but my mind must be rusty after 7 months on dry land: I sent it to the wrong email address!!! So here it is as I wrote it a few days ago

"Here we are again! And good to be back.
The trip to Panama has been long but without any problems. Both planes were on time and all our luggage arrived with us at our final destination. Big relief as they mainly contained spares for the boat.

Very humid as usual here in Panama with temperature of 30 degrees. The weather is not as it should be as it is the dry season. There are still occasional downpours.

FALBALA was patiently waiting for us on the dry dock and we found her in good shape. No mould or mildew, everything inside pretty much as we left it. Even our Buddha plant has survived the wet season on deck and has welcome us back with two pretty orange flowers! Decks a little dirty but nothing that cannot be washed and cleaned. However, we haven't tried the electronics yet so let's hope that there will be no problems when we do!

So it seems that all our 4 weeks of hard work to thoroughly clean and get the boat ready to be left for 7 months has paid off. The owners of the boat next to us on the yard complained yesterday that it is covered in mould and mildew inside and other ones found a nest of geckos inside their boat!

We will start antifouling the hull today and a local will help us cleaning and polishing the topsides which are in need of a bit of TLC!

Will report later on our progress with hopefully a few photos as well.

Love
Mike and Catx"
