The EJ's Voyage

Sorry about the lack of communication... we are getting very lazy! We are
enjoying life at a slow pace! We still in Vuda Point marina but about to leave
for Musket Island in a day or two to join the Musket Cove Regatta that is
starting on Friday for a week. It should be a fun week full of activities and
parties.
Days are going by amazingly quickly, occupied by few maintenance jobs on
the boat, trips to the town by bus –quite an adventure!-, reading books in the
cockpit, meeting friends at the bar. Tuesday nights is half prize pizza night at
the marina restaurant and all the yachties are gathering there. Same thing on
Thursday night for Happy Hour. A really good reggae band is playing on Friday
nights and another very good band is playing on Sunday afternoons. So we all
spend a lot of time at the bar, a great social venue. We have met new fun people
and seen some other friends again whom we had met in the previous years.
Sharing a taxi this afternoon with the owners of the only other British
boat in the marina, a great couple with a 4 year old daughter, to go to
Manaka where there is a pretty good supermarket. Party on board tonight with a
few new friends.
The weather turned very windy, grey and a lot colder last week but he sun
is now back. Nice temperature, not unbearably hot.
A few photos attached taken yesterday and also of our Isle of Man flag
which is now proudly hanging at the bar.
More news when we will be in Musket. |
