Fairhaven (New Bedford) overnight stop has been a
total success. Gulliver's team and the two of us went ashore for a delicious
meal and we seem to have consumed a lot of "Fat Bastard" which was the name of
the French white wine...
Next morning we visited the New Bedford whaling
museum which was most interesting.
Arrived back in Newport on the 10th and have been
at anchor in the bay ever since. Martine and her friend joined us the next
day.
GULLIVER is being shipped back to the UK today and
Mike will be helping Mark getting the boat onboard the ship.
we thought of sailing to Stonington tomorrow but
have some problems with our dinghy outboard engine so not too sure now. Luckily
friends at Northrop & Johnson are really kind and going out of their way to
help us.
So we are having a good time and enjoy the area a
lot.
Weather beautiful.
Stop here as Mike and Mark are waiting to go to
lunch now!
