Result at last on the fishing front! As soon as I had sent the blog yesterday morning telling you about our fishing disasters I heard shouts from the aft deck. Holger had a fish at the end of his line and was struggling with it. Mike altered course immediately, went into the wind, we dropped the yankee and staysail to slow us down and slowly the boys started getting the fish nearer to the boat. Mike eventually hooked him up and hoisted him on board. And what a big beast it was! A 1.35m Wahoo,  about 35kg. Beautiful. Mike immediately proceeded to fillet it. Blood everywhere, a bit of a mess but well worth it. We have a lot of fish in the freezer now.

Then towards the end of the afternoon, just as Mike was about to take the fishing lines in he caught a small tuna! That one was filleted in no time as well and stored in the freezer.

We have a constant breeze of about 13 knots which pushes us through at a boat speed of 5 knots. There is however a big activity in the cockpit as our captain is working hard with the sewing machine repairing the ripped spinnaker. Luckily it ripped along the seam so it is a fairly straight forward repair except for the length of it! Photo attached.

Guess what we had for dinner last night? BBQ Wahoo with carrots and potatoes. Delicious.

Sunny day. All is well.
