Et Voila! Work finished with the yard and got the
bill. So potatoes diet for us for quite a few weeks to come or if we are lucky
our captain might catch some fish?
Still fantastic weather here. Very hot. Not sure
how much longer it will last but let's hope that it will for a while. Talking of
which, just got email forecast in and it says : "The most-significant change to Bill's forecast is a
slightly-faster
motion...possibly allowing Bill to impact NovaScotia & Newfoundland before the approaching TROF is able to turn him NE-E. Bermuda remains at some risk...but the faster motion also suggests Bill penetrates farther NW, toward 68W-70W, before turning N near Bermuda's Latitude of 32N Sat22...with a gradual NNE turn bringing Bill near NovaScotia Sun23 night. While NewEngland does not appear at significant risk currently, it would not take much more of a W-shift to put NewEngland (primarily CapeCod & vicinity and Maine) at risk. Sun23. --Bill is likely to be a weaker system N of 40N, in a higher-shear environment with cooler sea surface temps...but he could still pack HurricaneForce winds." Now that IS worrying! We have enjoyed amazing sunsets with reddish
colours. Photo below.
Found a great wood carving shop. Liked the rabbit
in the car...
Went for a run yesterday. Almost too hot. Got
overtaken by a blond, full of muscles American hunk so felt quite gutted.
Especially that I met him afterwards in the yard, didn't even recognise him but
he recognised me. Felt hurt in my pride... :-)
Off tomorrow to North Haven. Little bunch of
islands off Camden.
Borrowed the yard's car again yesterday and went to
Rockland - nothing much there. However we found a great shop there selling all
sorts of door knobs, door knockers etc. really fun stuff. Website address to
remember! Then did the grocery shopping. Delicious clams meal on
board.
All good here.
love
