The EJ's Voyage

Beautiful night last night under the stars.
The wind has dropped a little today, averaging
18kts. The sky is overcast with sunny patches.
Sunday morning so the boys had bacon and eggs for
breakfast and I baked bread and Brownies.
Mike almost caught a nice dorado but the bugger
detached himself from the fishing hook just when he was about to be hoisted on
board. The next fish must have been a lot bigger because he went off with the
lure and everything. Our fishing morale is very low... Good thing we stocked the
freezer with meat!
We had an email from Alain and Catherine on
PULSION. They changed their mind due to a crosstree (not sure of the spelling of
this one!) problem which could potentially result in loosing
their mast. So they are not going to the Gambier islands after all but are
going direct to the Marquises. They are not far from us so we should arrive
there about at the same time. It will be great to see them again.
Our Ozzie friends from JACANA, Dan and Yo,
also remain in contact via email. They have problems with their freezer but
otherwise all is well for them. They are about 60nm behind
us.
All is well onboard.
Happy Sunday!
Love
Mike and Catherine
