                | I have been very lazy with the blog lately...
sorry! In truth, we are too busy snorkelling, soaking up
the sun and wondering what we will eat for dinner! Provisions are running low,
no more fresh vegetables or fruits but still some meat in the freezer. And of
course from time to time a local fisherman would catch up with us and provide
lobsters or fish. So we are not starving! The water is wonderful here. Always clear and hot.
We have had some amazing snorkelling and yesterday was the best of all. So many
fish and beautiful huge corals. We had some difficulties finding a good anchorage
spot last night which was a bit traumatic. But all was well in the end. However
the anchor alarm kept on beeping because of a wind shift which moved the boat
and set off the alarm. Mike ended up sleeping in the cockpit to be closer to the
monitor. Actually he has been deserting our bed for quite a few nights now. It
is so hot at night that the breeze on deck is very much welcome. The weather is generally good but the wind always
picks up at night bringing some clouds and very brief rain showers. We visited the local "museum", actually a hut in
which a Kuna had displayed all sorts of items and painted and wood carved the
story of the Kunas since the origin of time. Quite funny but some of it was
interesting. The Kunas originated from Columbia. He is recycling the empty
plastic bottles and made a door and a side panel for the hut with them.
Innovative or what! A photo of Mike in front of the
"Bakery"... Hope you are all well Catherine and Mike |
