The wind dropped overnight and so did the swells.
We therefore had a slow but peaceful and comfortable night.
This morning the spi went up. The wind has
increased slightly. We are sailing along at speeds between 6 to 7.5 kts.
Beautiful sky, sunny and very hot. We have seen dolphins and a turtle again this
morning.
Fishing line are out but nothing caught yet. Holger
almost had a fish yesterday but it managed to free itself just before being
hauled onboard. Not a happy Holger...
We have done 300nm out of the 800+ to the
Galapagos.
We have heard on the SSB Pacific Net that there are
at least 3 boats ahead of us and our Ozzie friends from Jacana are only 50nm
behind us.
Attached a photo taken by Holger during the first
night. You can see a beautiful sunset and a dolphin.
We are all well and happy.
A Demain
Love
Mike and Catherine
