Here we are, back to our blog!
So much has happened since the last one that we
don't really where to start...
We had a good 2 and a half months back in Europe
and even managed to spend some time at home in IOM. We came back to Ft
Lauderdale and the boat on June 1st.It was good to be on board again and to
admire Falbala's new look with her new canopy. No more Royal Blue canvas!
Hurray! Photo attached aren't we smart
Our two and a half month back in Europe past
quickly what with getting Mike's mum out of hospital and fit to move North
to Scotland to her new residence in Dunfermline. The car ride north went
well in an 8 hour drive with a friend of heir's in the back to keep her
comfortable. She is settled in and seems happy which is a great
relief. Her apartment in Brighton is under contract and hopes to
be complete in a couple of months
Then we got back to Peel and had a nice few weeks
seeing friends and having visitors . We went for a few bike rides and Mike also
enjoyed a couple of rounds of golf plus getting some decoration repairs done
after a damaged caused by a leak in the roof.
A quick thanks to those friends and
family that accommodated us during our travels including a brief trip to
Scotland on our way to Belgium for the big wedding. We had fantastic weather for
the wedding and the bride looked stunning> what an amazing day! During our
Belgium trip, one of our other nieces, Audrey, announced her engagement to
Didier and their wedding planned for June 2010. We are truly overjoyed.Pictures

Having got back to the boat in Ft Lauderdale we
commissioned her again and just before leaving Mike trapped his big toe in
a hatch and lost the nail and broke the toe. So a week delay while we sought
help which was answered by Bernie and his son from Scotland who arrived on
Friday last and we finally sailed to Palm Beach on Saturday. On Sunday we
sailed out to sea and arrived in Cape Canaveral Fascinating placed . We
managed an afternoon visiting the Nasa Space Station.
Left there the next day with the intention of
getting to Charleston. Little wind and so motor sailed North . On Wednesday
morning the engine decided to stop due to a bug in the fuel so a slow sail
into the coast to St Augustine . Luckily we had prepaid an insurance to
Tow Boat USA so we arranged a tow into port from the fairway buoy. Now
we hope to have the fuel tanks clean in the next day or so and to continue
our passage North to get to Newport hopefully by the end of the month
latest.
St Augustine is a lovely and charming place and we
had a lot of fun today wandering through the Spanish heritage town. Absolutely
gorgeous. And very hot too!
Look forward to hearing from you all as to your
activities over the last few weeks or months and we will be blogging again
very soon so keep logging in!
All the best to you all and big hug and kiss to
those who feel they would like one !!!!
Ps Spoke to Jamie, my son, the other day and

of the grandson could be very imminent we will keep you advised and have
