The weather gods were kind today, in as much that
there were no strong winds or big seas today.
It was a pleasant motor down here, 40nm and all the
drama of passing Tarifa and then slowly the rock of Gibraltar
emerges. It was quite misty so very hard to get any decent pictures. But we
will post what we can tomorrow.
As we came through the Straits of Gibraltar we saw a
massive Minkie whale. About the same length as Zipadedoda,
but too far off to even bother with the camera. Jennie also spotted a pod of
Dolphins as we came into the bay.
We are in Marina
Bay, which is right next
to the airport runway. Bit of a dump, with huge building site next door, and
loads of semi-derelict “live aboard” boats, interspersed with some
very new, very expensive big boats. The staff are a mixed bunch. Of which anon……………………..
