Having the two grandchildren, Ellie and Jessica on board has been a real treat. On their first day here we motored out to a nearby area that has large rock column’s and caves as well as loads of small beaches. So we anchored off a sheltered cove, pilled aboard the dingy, and made camp on the beach. The sea looked inviting , but was not as warm as I would have liked it. This did not deter the kids, as they splashed about at the waters edge. Sarah, Jennie’s eldest daughter went for a swim and so Jennie followed suite. Nick and I  were somewhat more reserved. That is until a water fight started. Loads of fun……………

Yesterday was Ellie’s “Happy birthday on granddad’s boat”. Sarah had made a smartie cake, and we had a fun packed day, with visits to the on site swimming pool and Spa and a trip to the local fish market. Had a wonderful leg of lamb on board last night. Great day had by all. To day the “family” are off to the local Gypsy market, and we are about to go for a full English brunch. Then it is off to a bar later to watch the England Vs Portugal footie. It will be interesting to see the outcome as we are in Portugal!!
