We had a cracking Dinner Party onboard last night, whilst moored in the Tobago Cays.

Jennie prepared a fantastic spread, and all the guests brought along some wine and cocktails to help move the evening along.

The main course was roast lamb and roast potatoes, with all the trimmings. Everyone enjoyed themselves and it was a great  laugh.

The excitement was all a little too much for some of the older members…………………………………………………………………………………………….

  What only three bottles……………………….?

We arrived in Union Island just before lunch and went ashore immediately.  Had lunch in the Aquarium Restaurant  in the Bougainvillea Centre, which is a lovely harbour side restaurant with (bizarrely) Oriental Décor.

After which a walk ashore to check out the market stalls which are all so colourful with magnificently laid out displays of fruit and veg. The people were all smiles and very friendly, and the views over to Palm Island and beyond are spectacular.

The main harbour and town here is called Clifton. It is surrounded on two sides by a large reef, with another reef in the centre of the harbour. On part of the reef is a rather whacky bar, which is constructed mainly from crushed Conch Shells.  It is appropriately named “Happy Island”.

You can only get there by dingy or water taxi. So it is rather exclusive!! They also make very yummy Rum Punches………..But the clincher was the fact that they have a one year old Rottwhiler/Pitbull Cross. A delightful dog who instantly adopted Jennie!!

The owner is away at the moment, but the family looking after it were lovely and we spent a relaxing afternoon and early evening just chatting and watching the sun go down. It actually felt like we were on holiday………………………………………………………………
