North from Puteri - 14 Jan 2016
01:27.65N 103:15.11E Mike arrive3d in Singapore on 10 Jan to stay with Will and prepare tashi Delek to go back to sea. We then departed from Puteri Harbour Marina at 0900 with Will, Annie, Josh, Dan and Isla aboard as crew for the great adventure of the passage north 470 miles to Langkawi. Will had just returned from a spell of work in Nepal and brought with him some wonderful cotton shirts for everyone, embroidered with “Tashi Delek” in English and Tibetan script. The first night was spent in the shelter of Pulau Pisang island just 34 miles from Puteri. A short passage in order to give the children time to settle to life on board the yacht. The anchorage was excellent and far more sheltered and less rolly than we feared. A calm night after a very exciting day. So great to have the family and the grandchildren on board at last, just such a pity that Carol is not with us as well.
