We anchored overnight on Chichimmie Cay and then sailed the short distance to the island of Porvenir to check in. This island was just about big enough to take an airstrip.

And have a quay big enough for a small ferry…

It also had a customs house, immigration and army post with two public phone boxes that apparently did work on occasions.

It is one of the most delightful and memorable places we have been to for all the official stuff with the authorities that we need to do on arrival in a new place.
