Just in case anyone was wondering, this is what the Inverter looks like. The second transformer (yellow blob top right ) is what has burnt out. The small two pin socket is the only way we can charge anything requiring 240 volts (e.g. Laptops) while at sea. Luckily the first transformer which runs the 240 volt fridge is OK.

We hope the electricians we have been put in touch with can supply and fit a new Inverter while we are in the marina in Cairns.
