Vlikadha Marina Santorini, 04 Sep 10

Back in the marina on Santorini after a terrific four days sailing with Adam and Jessica, Ross and Lauren who had travelled from Washington DC for the experience.  Still having some strong gusts of wind but nothing like those that Viv and Tim had endured so generally the sailing has been fabulous.  Out for dinner in the stunning town of Oia along the cliff tops after we have watched the sun set over the volcano crater tonight. 

Viv and Tim endured a rather more savage experience but came up smiling in spite of generally severe winds with the strongest recorded gust of 56 knots (which qualifies as violent storm force).  Tashi Delek sailed a treat throughout so our confidence again has been boosted in what she is capable of if necessary.

Tomorrow we will re-provision and then return to the Island of Ios and the lovely clear water of Manganari bay for a few days to catch our breath, write the blog up properly and plan our next move back towards Turkey.
