Brad has caught many fish while sailing.  JM is a very experienced fly fisherman.  They had checked our kit before we left, pronounced it perfectly good enough for the job, bought some lures with them and purchased a couple more.  Confidence was very high as the line went out on day one.

Nothing.

Day two and JM takes charge preparing a lure using his trusty forceps (he’s a surgeon so not only carries forceps but is also very good at tying knots).  Confidence is high. 

Big hit, line taken then,  nothing.

And again.  Then nothing.
