We made the 51 miles from Cooktown to Lizard Island in 8 hours with a very brisk wind and averaging more than 6 knots!  An amazing day for Tashi Delek and on the way we passed 1000 miles since leaving Bundaberg.  Lizard Island was really beautiful and with 27 Rally boats here we had a drinks party on the beach and ended up staying 3 days.  Meryon, Tim and Pim explored ashore while Mike sorted problems on the yacht and had help from Jon on Evergreen to fix the laptop software that provides the link to the satellite phone connection and which had stopped working.
