Anaho Bay, another walk, part 2. The ruins.

The site of the ruined village was again impressive because it was still very clear where the houses were including their food storage pits.  The base would be stone and the top wood and palm.  The bases have survived very well.  We found where the human sacrifices were made and cannibalism practiced.

 

There was a fabulous Banyan tree…..

 

 

 

And ancient carvings……

 

 

There was a reconstruction of one of the original houses alongside the, huge, area for public gatherings……
