While Mike was working Carol took herself into Knightsbridge to see some of the men’s road race. Much excitement as the crowd builds. Everyone very chatty and jolly while gazing at an empty road.
Then……. Huge excitement…… a Policeman on a motorbike gets the biggest cheer of his life………… |
And then some people cross the road. Another huge cheer. |
Then a Police car and an Olympic car and two motorbikes…….. |
…. And then, what is this? Oh, a cyclist…… |
And then some more……., but not the ones we were expecting to see. Not a UK jersey in sight. Ah well. We nailed them on the time trials and in the velodrome later.
