The ‘Hot, Hot, Hot Spot’ cafe that we had thought was great fun while we were berthed next to it open for dinner on Wednesday nights and offer a free drink to anyone who will do something musical or other party piece. This could an open invitation for every show off to come and be very annoying but everything else they did they did very well so, at the suggestion of some of the other live-aboards we got together and booked a table.

It was tremendous. Short menu of excellent food freshly cooked and superb music. A young chap with a guitar and old guy with a clarinet jamming for much of the time and sounding great. Someone stood up and sang and John, who had arranged our table did a monologue complete with strong Lancashire accent when in fact he is a retired anaesthetist from Devon. As always here, posh boats in the background. |
