1,712 miles run    499miles to go!

Today’s blog by Moyra.......

Goodness on paper that seems a lot, but compared with over 2,000, it seems like not far to go. A rather bumpy ride last night with the wind getting up to 35kts, Tashi Delek, took it all in her stride. Today it ranges from 10kts to 27kts. During daylight hours, however, those figures do not seem quite as daunting.

Our daily routine remains the same. We’re normally all up by 8am and have breakfast at a leisurely pace. After brekkie we all do our little chores, water making, bread making ,checking the engine, preparing for lunch and dinner... there is always something to do to keep us occupied. After lunch, we all slip into relaxation mode, reading, snoozing, knitting dogs, fishing, showering, putting up sails, pulling down sails, tweaking sails or watching the sea go by.

Watches begin at 7pm and finish at 7.30am.. when another day begins. The time flies by. We are well stocked with a vast range of goodies, so all meals are great. We are still waiting for Michael to reel in a fish and big celebrations will be had when he does so. So no great progression on the fishing front... However, on the dog knitting front excellent  progress has been made. Was tempted to use Carol’s “Mother’s yellow cloth” for stuffing, but instead opted for Jeye cloths. The dog is now well and truly stuffed. There is only an ear to be sown on.
