We arrived this morning in wreck bay having stalled ourselves to make the recommended daylight entry. Of course now in hindsight in these very calm conditions the reported treacherous currents, unreliable navigation lights etc is seem to be needless scaremongering and we could have simply anchored up in the dark and had a full night sleep.
Our agent Carmella visited by water taxi answer anchored, we are now awaiting immigration, port authority, fumigation and goodness knows what other inspectors. We counted at least seven people just now boarding Sudoeste, hopefully we are next.
Around the boat we have schools of tuna and plenty of sea lions, with the first furry friend boarding us within 15 minutes of setting the anchor.
We are anchored next to Malua, an Australian boat that we transmitted through the panama canal with. Actually there are 3 Aussie boats here.
...
All checked in now, granted 20 days stay fees including agent USD 895. There will be a diver later to inspect the hull. 7 people boarded, all cupboards, rooms and engines were checked, for what we are not sure but whatever it was clearly wasn't there.
