COG 257 SOG 6.6 WIND SE13 RUN 154

Boredom is setting in, great! That means that the sailing is very easy. Very settled weather currently although last night at dusk we put a reef in as there was a massive cloud ahead of us blackening the entire forward horizon, we were expecting a stormy night however it did not eventuate. Tiredness is accumulating on us now so keeping motivated requires a bit more effort, for instance shaking the reef out which I left until late morning which will have cost us a few miles.

Elena are tracking 60 miles due south of us, we are in email contact but out of radio (VHF) range.

The wind is still forward of the beam but has picked up in strength to 12-14 knots and we continue along nicely, I was expecting to have the gennaker up by now but that might be a couple of days away yet. If we had a code zero it would be very useful right now.

Spoke to my Dad yesterday, happy birthday Dad.

Dorado is on the menu again, the girls each landed one unassisted (other than landing) this morning. Squid count overnight, 5.

The girls have started a story project, they started a story and emailed it to Elena, Jasper on Elena wrote the next section (well done excellent twist Jasper) and has sent it on to Emily on Sudoeste, now we wait eagerly for our turn again.
