WIND E17 COG 250 SOG 8.5 RUN 183

The wind is coming around further behind and with less intensity meaning we are now sailing almost on a run, we need to keep the apparent wind at 150 degrees or preferably much less to maintain speed but that point of sail is creeping us further south than the rhumb line. Rarely gusting over 20 today, parasailor would definitely be up now given the choice.

The sea retains it's snow capped mountainous look in all directions, our current dilemma is that there is no spare water for showering. The watermaker needs a clean intake but travelling over 6 knots or in rough sea introduces air to the system and it throws a hissy fit. I'd rather arrive early and smelly though than stop to make water.

The menu is Marlin again, freezer full and still 5 kilos of fresh filet to get through.

Elena have been in touch and still track due south of us. Yesterday was a low day for some reason, hump day I guess - all downhill from here though. Watches seem much easier when we are going fast, it's hard to get bored with the noise and movement of a sail boat at 9knots plus.
