WIND ESE20 SOG 9.5 COG 261

Our first ever 200 mile run, 215 in past 24 hours! It's a bit bouncy but coffee cups still simply sit on the table, and yesterday Asia made a sponge cake. The remaining fruit is fast maturing, limes holding out very well and some are turning yellow (so I guess they are actually lemons).

As I write this we still have yesterday's update in the outbox, for some reason we have not been able to establish an iridium connection for the past 24hours.

Quite fresh now I would describe this weather, I think we have finally found the trades proper. We are getting the odd wave up over the deck and had some quite big slams in the night. We are pretty used to simply sailing full speed into the blackness now. At night it's impossible to read the sea ahead, mostly Moxie just does her thing looking after us and herself and we are here for the ride. What an awesome piece of machinery this girl is, point and go with the wind. We haven't seen another vessel since the tuna boat, not even on AIS which on occaision we can see boats 100 miles away.

Wow we clocked some miles! I after brief resistance have relented and reefed down to give a more comfortable ride, even so we maintain very good speed, no need for spinnakers in this weather.

Saturday, the kids are playing the wii while we juice up the batteries with the generator.

I am trying my luck fishing but we'll only be able to land small fish, tuna probably. Whatever we get will either skip along the top or dive down and take all the line.
