Blue Sky's Voyage

Hello Friends            "1:14N 109:44W"

Our hard work getting south after the Doldrums has paid off and we've found clean trade winds which enable us to head directly towards the Marquesas. We've given Blue Sky her head and off she's galloped - currently in amazingly flat seas with 15 knots apparent wind, about 6 knots on the log and a knot and a half of current to help us along too.

The Pacific is such a contrast to our Atlantic crossing: in the Atlantic there were quite strong winds and a huge following swell but here we have just enough wind to allow full sail and there's hardly a swell at all.

It's a relief to be sailing well again after the last few days of unusually slow progress.

Nothing else to report: all well on board.

Best Wishes

George, Michael, Alex and Simon
