Not too much to report. Yesterday's
highlight was the sighting of a loose yellow buoy which we duly went over to
inspect. During Happy Hour, strange and magical properties were attached to this
sighting, though I'm inclined to think this was more a product of enjoying the
evening drink rather than the buoy being particularly unusual.
George's Thai noodle soup with fresh
rainbow wrasse was delicious as was the tiramisu-banoffe pudding.
We did fly the spinnaker again last
night, but there was a bit of a squall in late evening and after we got up to 10
knots I thought it might be best to take the spi down, just in case the wind
increased further. Fortunately it was managed quite simply with hardly a word
being said - everyone now getting used to the rigging and procedure. (And yes
Mums and Dads, everyone was clipped-on!)
We saw a couple of other yachts last
night and sightings this morning have included a pod of whales ventilating a
quarter mile to the south and several schools of flying fish.
