After a slow start today as a small ridge of high pressure passed over us, we then picked up speed helped by setting our large green gennaker and the mizzen staysail,  So with main and mizzen sails set as well we started to make good progress again.
As there are light airs to our east we have turned due north towards Iceland!  This should keep us in fair wind until tomorrow when again we will find ourselves in light airs ahead of low pressure and a cold front that is moving across from the west.  Our plan is to start turning towards east and the UK sometime on Saturday or Sunday.........we don’t plan to visit Iceland this year!
There’s quite a lot of large traffic crossing us on its way to Europe from the USA and overnight we talked to a Dutch yacht heading towards Falmouth and then overtook a large French yacht and showed him our stern.......I still can’t resist a challenge!
