We made a fast crossing from Cachino Grande achieving 6Kts to 7Kts all the way in nearly 20Kts of wind on the quarter.  We were in company of SV Rafiki and with our full compliment of sails including our mizzen staysail we could keep up with their bigger boat.  As Claire reminded me, of course it wasn’t a race and in the end we reduced sail a little so that we didn’t overstrain dear old ‘Moonstone’.

 

Utila is a budget dive centre full of young people who have come to get their diving certificate in these warm clear seas.....i don’t think there is much else here but today we will go and explore the island and search out the wifi and grocers.
