We left Great Sale Cay at a very civilised hour this morning and have headed WNW under engine......there’s not a breath of wind.  It is warm (23C) and we are enjoying the last of the sunshine as the weather will get much colder as we head north.  We had a few nervous moments this morning as the thrust bearing on the propeller shaft was making a lot of noise......but after pumping masses of grease into the bearing things have quietened down.......fingers crossed as we are probably going to motor a lot over the next few days.

There’s another nasty little weather system moving in on Wednesday night and we are trying to make as much progress north as possible before it arrives and drives us into port.

We are still in the shallow blue waters of the Little Abaco bank and there’s been lots of dolphins coming over to wave us goodbye.  In the next couple of hours we will enter the Florida Straits and join the fast flowing Gulf Stream, our escalator to the north.
