Moonstone of Aberdour

We arrived at Charlotteville late this afternoon after a gentle motor up
the north coast of Tobago. On route we anchored off the tiny fishing
village of Castara to have our lunch but the rolling caused by the swell
creeping into the bay was too much for an overnight stop.
The anchorage at Charlotteville is called Pirates Bay, it is very deep and
we have all our anchor chain deployed but it is so peaceful we have no
concerns. We are sheltered by hills and mountains on three sides and
tonight the lights of the little town of Charlotteville twinkle across at us
under a beautiful moonlit sky.
Tomorrow we have to clear ourselves back into Tobago and will have to visit
Immigration and Customs, we hope we can do this here otherwise its a long bus or
taxi trip back to Scarborough!
Our plan is to wait and watch for another weather window to head south
again, we might be staying here for a little while so we won’t be posting on the
blog everyday. |
