We have quickly slipped back into our passage making routine and although this leg should take less than a week it’s a very good feeling to return to the life on the ocean wave.

Brazil’s NE shallow continental shelf stretches out 15NM to 20NM and at that point depths rapidly drop to over 2000m causing a disturbed and uncomfortable sea but in order to avoid inshore fishing traffic we are following the edge of this shelf making it a rolly trip.  Now we have turned the corner and the sea is much improved; we are suffering far less bumps and bruises and getting decent off watch sleeps.
