We are now at anchor off the town of Fronteras in readiness for Moonstone to be hauled out of the water and stored ashore whilst we return to the UK by air.

Fronteras is basically a truck stop on the highway between Honduras and Belize and its shops stocking cowboy boots, saddles and sombreros add to the atmosphere of a frontier town.   There is a tiny supermarket and lots of vegetable stalls so we shan’t go hungry.   Labour rates here are only £5 per day so will use the opportunity to have new cockpit cushions made at a fraction of UK prices.......having said that we asked a local marine engineering company to patch weld some pin hole leaks in a section of our exhaust pipe and the resultant repaired stainless steel pipe is worthy of being exhibited at the Tate Modern as a piece of abstract art!
