After a short trip from Palencia we picked up a mooring off the island of Ranguana and snorkelled the barrier reef in a crystal clear sea.  We saw spotted eagle rays, glorious coral and lots of different brightly coloured fish.  Two ancient conch sailing fishing boats have anchored close by, each with a crew of five sleeping on the open decks.  The weather is for the moment absolutely perfect.
