We are tied to a mooring ‘ball’ in the Vero Beach Marina’s
moorings......they are municipal owned and the facilities ashore are excellent!
This is a lovely quiet part of Florida and we are happy to spend a few days
here. Claire has been shopping and bought a dress and we used the local
free bus to get to the shops.
After a mainly liquid lunch + crab and fries we walked along the ocean
beach but it was too rough for a swim. We’ve taken the dinghy around the
many mango ringed islands and although we’ve seen eagles, lots of ospreys,
pelicans and anhingas we’ve yet see to see a manatee and the little dolphins are
plentiful but shy about approaching the yachts.
The new outboard is behaving wonderfully and we’ve finally found ourselves
planning along the waterways. |
