We arrived safely through the fog this morning into the Cape Fear Inlet after a three day trip up from the Bahamas........and unsurprisingly the weather is much, much cooler.  The chap from Customs and Immigration was exceedingly pleasant when he visited us on Moonstone but he did insist we couldn’t import any fresh fruit or veg .......so we just had to eat our oranges in front of him rather than dump them in the bin!

Went out to dinner tonight in Southport with our American friends on  beautiful Sparkmans & Stephens yawl “Aquila” who also made the passage from the Bahamas but somehow we never saw sight or sound of them en route.
