Yesterday’s 109 NM logged mileage in 24 hours was our best to date on this passage. It might have been better but the wind disappeared in the afternoon and overnight we struggled to achieve 3 knots. We should be achieving closer to 125 NM per day.

 

Apart from the above obsession with logged distances we are also suffering from a Kindle Dependency.  Both of us are constantly reading chunky books and spend our watches head down although Claire’s has the advantage of being back lit for the night turns......I think the main reason for having a generator on board is to keep her Kindle charged up.  I’ve got five more recent downloads to read then its back to the classics, Don Quixote, Dorian Gray, Father Brown etc so we’d better get to Brazil soon!
