We are taking life very slowly as we don’t have to be in the Rio Dulce until early July so today we had a short sail to the western end of the island and have anchored in an open bay behind a submerged reef.  The sea is incredibly clear and Claire dived on the anchor to see that it was set, it took a couple of attempts to get it to dig in well but we are secure tonight.
The German sailing yacht ‘La Paloma’ sailed down in company with us and it was interesting to see how they performed as La Paloma is out of the same mould as Moonstone.  Also anchored here is Rafiki crewed by a lovely Dutch couple who we met in Guanaja.  Tomorrow we will snorkel on the reef.....it looks very promising.
