After many weeks of quiet anchorages Nassau was hot and noisy.
We spent a day walking the town but having spent most of the previous night
awake on passage from Staniel Cay we weren’t really in the right mood to
explore. We’d moored Moonstone in a marina, the first time since Brazil,
and more out of tiredness than convenience.......but we didn’t enjoy the
experience. So this morning we paid the exorbitant mooring fee
( we shall never complain about UK fees again) set off, had a very close
encounter with a badly marked coral reef in the harbour, and set our course NW
for the Berry Islands. Tonight we are anchored off Club Cay...it is
delightful! |
