The weather forecast was correct and the wind dropped to 10 knots. It also backed a little, veered a little then backed again, all the time staying somewhere behind us. The result is we have spent the last 24 hours squeezing out every fraction of boat speed and for one blissful minute getting over 5 knots - wow!  We tried every permutation of our sail wardrobe but it didn’t make a real jot of difference but it passed the time nicely in the sunshine - so the log for the last 24 hours is a lesser 107 NM.
