On our tour to West Caicos Mercedes chose a green octopus for deep sea trolling and we had something “big” twice that we lost.

The third time the gear started spinning we hauled out a Barracuda. Since the risk of ciguatera (neurotoxin) is high in Barracudas we decided not to take the risk of eating. 

This one already had a big bite across it’s body (shark ?) and although thrown back into the sea I doubt it survived.
