More or less two weeks left for departure to Dora Mac and tropical heat.

Preparations are crucial with finding different spareparts being a central part. Most complicated are parts that needs to be shipped overseas that get stuck in customs and then taken care of by different couriers with different routines. This time we needed a new low pressure pump for the Village Marine watermaker (the bearings of the old one wearing out) and it took weeks and loads of phonecalls until it was finally delivered.

On the picture of different spares is a new remote cable for the SSB radio to antenna tuner, Navionics charts of US eastcoast,Pilot book for Intra coastal waterways, Pantaenius updated Blue Chart, genset fuel filter, waterfilter, new low press pump for watermaker and loads of more small parts.

In our passports is a stamped B1/B2 Visa from the US embassy and ongoing is preparation for Bianka and her rabies documents. Coming back will as always be a challenge, both due to problems prepairing Dora Mac and adaptation problems to tropical climate.

Preliminary plan is to depart Dominican Republic late March /early April and head for Turks &Caicos further to Bahamas. Mid May we need to cross over to Florida and partly through intra coastal waterways head for Chesapeake Bay and Annapolis where Dora Mac has a place in Pier7Marina late June.

Home in Sweden we have had a cold winter with a frozen Baltic Sea which made it possible for me and oldest son Felix to go skating.
