Back in surveillance

Heading back home snow recently started to cover the mountains in Lofoten.
Once crossing the mountains over to Sweden there´s now full winter with ice on the roads. Coming down to the coastline of Sweden you will be back on the highway and the land of surveillance.
Most people these days think surveillance cameras are good. "If you don´t act criminal you having nothing to fear".
To me the question is deeper than that. Sweden is probably the worlds most digitalised country and soon the 5G network is coming. Already in China today the 5G network is used to classify citizens in "good or bad citizens" (depending on how you obay society regulations surveilled by the enormous power of the 5G network). Depending on how you are classified your career depends on it.This is clearly a very powerful tool to govern people.
In my view this is just another step towards robotisation of humanity and again a bit closer to Huxley´s "Brave New World" (and George Orwells 1984 about the surveillance society). The other side of it is the risk of future totalitarian societies using surveillance for supression.
Who knows, perhaps I will be "persona non grata" in the future for having the "wrong opinions" on this blog.......

I will be back on Dora Mac in November and weather permitting we will head 180Nm north hopefully meeting up with the whales coming in from the North Atlantic hunting herring.
Risk of snow and bad weather is of course a substantial risk perhaps forcing us to alter plans....
