Honeymoon Harbour is a good anchorage well protected from prevailing trade winds and we were only two boats here. During daytime though there’s a fleet of boats coming from Alice Town, the main settlement of Bimini Islands 10Nm further north.
The business is to feed stingrays and nurse sharks just east of the island. We came there snorkeling and were immidiately met by 4-5 stingrays swimming around our legs and all around were also nurse sharks (harmless if you don’t hurt them). Of course you can get some close up photographs but being there with all domesticated animals and tourists is halfway going to zoo.
After two days in Honeymoon Harbour we headed up to Alice Town and Browns Marina for some days of work on Dora Mac.
