Allthough he remained a commited Hindu he saw the hipocrisy of organised religion.
According to Gandhi,nothing exists in reality except truth and meant that Satya (truth) is the most important name of God.
Exploring other religions and influenced by Jesus he was ultimately believing in a universal truth that transcends specific religions.
Jesus himself spoke of love,forgiveness and an inner paradise. Well aware that he challenged the narrative of his time and had to die for it his words are universal with an impact on humanity second to none.
A century later Simon Bar Kokhba led the biggest uprising against Rome involving hundreds of thousands of jewish rebellions and by many jews ,including the high priests of Judaism, considered to be the real messiah. Having a much greater earthly power and immidiate impact on his people than Jesus, today he´s forgotten while the words of Jesus are ethernal.
