The Galapagos Shark recembles the Oceanic White tip shark, but seems to be it`s own species. They come in small groups,or as solitary individuals. One of them circled around us coming closer after each circle. They are not considered dangerous. When decompressing at 3 mtrs we saw a Silc shark coming towards us and then disappearing. They have been known to attack humans, but on the record in Galapagos are no known shark attacks on humans the last 10 years, until 4 months ago when a surfer was attacked(but survived) outside San Cristobal.
